Bachelor of Hospitality Management
Studies in a Finnish
University of Applied Sciences provide undergraduate students with a higher
education degree and develop applied professional skills. The objective of the Degree
Programme in Tourism is to provide both Finnish and international students with
a high quality, practical yet academic training in tourism management. Upon
completion of the required 210 credits within three and a half years, graduates
are awarded a Bachelor of Hospitality Management.
Studies at the Kajaani University of Applied Sciences offer students an
opportunity to study in a multicultural environment as well as spending a
semester or two abroad.
The Degree Programme in Tourism covers the following main competences:
- Service-mindedness
- Service Systems
- Service Management
- Business Know-how
- Service Environments for Tourism
Through the use of various tutorial approaches, sessions are designed to ensure
that students can fully exercise their creative potential and that critical
learning is facilitated. This is why interactive learning, team-based course
work and small group sessions form an important element of the learning process
of the Degree Programme in Tourism.
It is highly recommended
that (Finnish) students in this programme complete part of their studies at one
of our partner universities abroad. Each student makes a personal study plan
with the School's international coordinator for their period of foreign
studies. It is also possible to obtain a double degree with a partner university in Germany
by completing part of the studies (one year) in Germany.
