Kansainvälisen liiketoiminnan ja markkinoinnin asiantuntijatehtäviin

International Business on kolmevuotinen koulutus, josta saa Bachelor of Business Administration -tradenomin tutkinnon (BBA). Tutkinto valmistaa toimimaan kansainvälisen liiketoiminnan ja markkinoinnin asiantuntijatehtävissä. Koulutusohjelman tavoitteena on kouluttaa kielitaitoisia ja kansainvälisesti suuntautuneita liiketoiminnan ammattilaisia.

Opinnoissa saa kokonaiskäsityksen liikkeenjohdosta ja yritysten ja organisaatioiden kansainvälisistä toiminnoista. Opinnoissa tutustutaan myös yrittäjyyteen, pienien ja keskisuurien yritysten toimintaan sekä sähköiseen kaupankäyntiin. Opiskelija saa kansainvälisessä liiketoiminnassa tarvittavat tiedot yhdistettyinä käytännön taitoihin. Opetusmenetelminä käytetään perinteisten luentojen lisäksi harjoitustehtäviä, ryhmätöitä ja keskusteluja. Koulutus myös kansainvälistää vaihtolukukauden myötä ulkomaisessa korkeakoulussa ja työharjoittelussa ulkomailla. 

Dreaming of becoming a professional in International Business?

In studies of International Business you will gain a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Studies will prepare you for specialized tasks in international business and marketing. The studying programme provides an overall picture of business management, focusing on the international operations of companies and organizations. You will gain a good command of international business operations and marketing.

Basic Studies concentrate on different areas of business management, such as marketing, accounting, economics and information technology. Professional Studies will deepen your knowledge of different areas of international business in a multicultural learning environment with international exchange students.

The studies includes project work together with regional and international companies. You will also write a thesis work, and work and study abroad that will give an international experience and help acquiring language skills. You may choose one of the 80 partner universities in Europe and worldwide for the exchange period. You will also do your practical training of 5 months outside Finland.

Sairaanhoitajaksi englannin kielellä

Seinäjoen ammattikorkeakoulu tarjoaa sairaanhoitajan opinnot englannin kielellä. Koulutuksen aikana opiskellaan suomen kieltä. Opiskelija valmistuu sairaanhoitajaksi (AMK), Registered Nurse (UAS). Sairaanhoitajan tehtävänä on edistää terveyttä, ennaltaehkäistä sairauksia sekä hoitaa ja kuntouttaa ihmisiä, perheitä ja ryhmiä heidän erilaisissa terveystarpeissaan.

Sairaanhoitajan koulutus perustuu hoitotieteen ja sen lähitieteiden tuottamaan tietoon, jota yhdistetään harjoitteluissa eri hoitotyön alueilla. Opinnot sisältävät sairaanhoitajan ammatissa edellytettävän hoitotyön osaamisen. Kirjallisuus ja muu oppimateriaali on pääosin englannin kielellä. Opetusmenetelminä käytetään luentoja, ryhmätöitä, itsenäistä opiskelua, laboraatioharjoituksia, sekä virtuaalisia menetelmiä. Käytännön jaksoilla opiskelija voi harjoitella hoitotyötä Suomessa ja osin ulkomailla. Opinnot täyttävät sairaanhoitajan koulutukselta edellytettävät EU-vaatimukset.

Is Nursing close to your heart?

The degree programme will train you as a Registered Nurse (RN). You will become an expert in nursing in different working environments. The main task of a nurse is to promote and maintain health and to prevent illness. Nurses care for ill and suffering individuals, families and communities, and also rehabilitate them.

Are you interested in:

• nursing in multicultural settings
• humane and social profession as Registered Nurse (RN)
• supporting, helping and caring for healthy and sick human beings in all ages
• using modern technology in nursing
• developing and researching nursing according to scientific methods
• achieving good skills both in English language and in Finnish language
• knowing the responsibilities of RN in nursing. 

Students will develop evidence-based theoretical thinking and practical skills in nursing. The programme includes supervised clinical practice according to EU-directives, partly conducted abroad.

Studies promote competence in:

• acting ethically 
• promoting and maintaining health 
• doing practical nursing acts
• giving the right medication
• improving decision-making in nursing
• advising and guiding the patients
• interacting and co-operating in multiprofessional teams and with colleagues
• developing and researching nursing
• managing and planning in nursing organisations
• nursing in multicultural settings.

The programme is taught and conducted in English, but it also includes studies in Finnish so that the foreign students will be able to use the Finnish language at the end of the education. This will enable you to work as RN in Finland. Literature reviews, scientific articles and researches are written mainly in English.

The programme includes theoretical contact lectures and independent learning. Learning methods depend on the topics, eg. lab skills and virtual methods. Training periods include nursing in different kind of nursing settings in Finland and abroad, when you are able to combine theoretical and practical knowledge in nursing. Studies are full-time studies.

Tell us about your studies, what do you study, and which semester?

I am studying Degree program Bachelor in Nursing. I started this september. w.e.f. 1.9.2010, and will graduate in the end of 2013.

What does your studies include?

My studies are going on very well so far. I am writing my exams at the moment and feels really good to have learnt a lot from my teachers, material provided by the library, online help, ebrary, presentations, group works, practical training in the work places such as hospitals, central medical centres, old age nursing homes etc

What are the most rewarding sites?

Most interesting and rewarding things about my course that it is more English based. Also I am seeking a good competence of Finnish language. I really want to improve my finnish language skills as soon as possible.

Also the studies being more innovative and practical in nature the course is interesting.

And the challenging sides?

The biggest hurdle in my way is my Finnish language skills.I am trying to take extra lessons for that too. Also finding a part time job to assist my self for my personal livelihood is a bit difficult at the moment.

The weather at the moment is a bit hard too, but its not impossible. There is no excuse to miss my class because the roads are fine, busses are on time and everything else is running normal.

Where do you see yourself working in the future?

I wish to settle in Finland. It is a country of many dreams. There's a lot of opportunities here to succee and live a happy family life. I need to be professional in my career and have a good job in future. Serving the country in a nurse profession, I will do my best to my retirement. I wish to take up a job in ICU department probably. Because that interests me the most.
