Master's Programme in Translational Medicine
The aim of Master’s Programme in Translational Medicine (TRANSMED) is to provide a solid basis for both academic and non-academic careers in the health sector – either in research or in industry.
A TRANSMED graduate
- understands the language of both science and medicine and is able to communicate both with clinicians and scientists
- is able to practice scientific reasoning and critically analyse scientific literature
- is able to discuss scientific findings for general public
- understands key concepts in medical sciences
- understands the concepts of translational research and is able to apply these to address the needs of clinical practice, diagnosis or therapy, or the health care processes
- is able to apply appropriate up-to-date research methodologies
In TRANSMED you can freely choose from two study tracks: Translational Research, which supports research careers and Health Industry and Innovations, designed to provide skills and contacts for careers in health industry. Both study tracks provide solid basis and eligibility for doctoral (PhD) studies.
