Master's Degree Programme in Global Health and Crisis Management – blended learning

This master’s programme deepens your knowledge in global health and humanity, health and infection prevention and crisis management and creates you the needed capabilities to work in the field. The programme focuses on leadership, management, control, and communication in the field’s working environments. Evidence-based development and socially sustainable development are the base of the studies.

You will gain master’s level competencies in infection prevention and control. You learn about the protocols of epidemiology, and infection prevention, crisis preparedness, management, and leadership by implementing the tools used at and global level. The studies prepare you to find solutions to challenges from the perspective of global health and humanity.

How to study

The students of this programme have a varying number of contact teaching days in a month and otherwise studying online is possible. Studies include independent work as well as group work. During your study time you will collaborate on authentic projects together with experts from different fields all-around the world. Visitors from Laurea’s partner universities visit in study units and projects. 

Applicants for this programme must have previous bachelor’s or master’s degree and at the minimum two years of work experience in a relevant field in the Health Care and Social Services. On average it takes 1,5 years to complete this degree, but it is possible to complete in a shorter time depending on your own schedules and flexibility.
