It is essential for tourism service agent to have excellent teamwork and communications skills, language skills, can show initiative, and is dependable. As the industry operates 24 hours a day, shift work is also required.
This qualification will also provide you industry knowledge and operational skills to work in a variety of tasks in different hotel departments such as Hotel’s front desk. Skilled receptionist is well organized, works well under pressure, and maintains a friendly, welcoming and a pleasant attitude throughout the work shift.
Employment opportunities include hotels and other accommodation service providers, meetings and conferences, destination resorts, national, regional and local tourism sales and advisory organizations, travel and tourism offices, sales services, information points, or transportation companies.

Vocational studies are full-time and usually last around 2-3 years. Each student is given a personal competence development plan (PDP), which takes into account their prior learning and plans what skills they need and how they will acquire them in different learning environments.
